Puzzle Floor™ 25 YEAR WARRANTY
Briggs Engineered Wood Products (Company), the manufacturer of Puzzle Floor™, guarantees to the original purchaser that, for 25 years from the original purchase date, that Puzzle Floor™ when installed according to the installation guide and installed in a residential indoor setting will not show visible wear and will not suffer damage due to normal and ordinary residential use thereof, the whole subject to the conditions, limitations and exclusions as set out below.
WARRANTY PERIOD
The warranty period for the finish and lamination is twenty-five years (25) years from the date of purchase thereof.
LIMITED LIABILITY
In the event of a defect in the finish or lamination, the company’s liability will be limited, at its option, to the replacement of the defective flooring piece(s) or the repair thereof.
WARRANTY LIMITATIONS
The warranty applies to the finish and lamination only if used in normal residential applications and does not apply for floors installed in commercial establishments, or used for other than personal or family use.
The warranty applies to finish and lamination only where the floor has been installed according to the Company’s installation guide and it has been regularly maintained as recommended by the Company, which includes the following:
1. the flooring is installed above ground;
2. the relative humidity must be maintained between 40 and 50%.
The Company is not responsible for the following
1. any defect in the flooring caused by settlement or movement of the structure, or of the
walls or foundation thereof;
2. any problems caused by the sub-floor;
3. any defect in the finish caused by moving or dragging heavy items over the floor
(ie. refrigerator) or any marks or dents caused to the finish due to sharp objects;
4. any damage caused to the floor by reason of forced majeure including water damage, sand damage, discoloration in wood flooring, extreme environmental conditions, floods,
acts of God, or other accidents;
5. any defects in the floor caused by negligence or abuse by the user;
6. any defects caused by poor workmanship, improper installation and application, improper maintenance, or misuse;
7. any defects caused by the use of cleaning products other than those specially formulated
for use on pre-finished flooring; and
8. any defects caused during transportation of the finished product.
The Company accepts no obligations or liabilities for consequential damages arising out of, or in connection with the use of performance of the floor or other indirect damages with respect to loss of property, revenues, or profits, or for removal, installation or re-installation. No other representative is authorized to offer any other warranty, or assume any other liabilities, on behalf of the Company.
The warranty herein provided and the obligations of the Company hereunder are in lieu of, and buyer herein waves all other warranties, guaranties, conditions, or liabilities, either expressed or implied, arising by law or otherwise, either written or oral (including without limitation, any obligation of the seller with respect to consequential damages).
You are advised that this warranty provides you with specific legal rights. You are advised that you may have additional legal remedies provided to you under the laws of your State or Province that are not mentioned above. This warranty does not exclude or limit such other legal remedies, but serves to complete such available remedies.
CLAIMS
This is the only official warranty issued by the Company with respect to Puzzle Floor™. All claims for defects must be submitted in writing. All claims must include a detailed description of the problem or defect, a copy of the receipt showing both the receipt number and the date of purchase, as well as a picture of the affected area, and a copy of the manufacturer?s warranty included in the package of the product. The company reserves the right to examine and to test the product, and or make a site visit prior to replacement if deemed necessary.
